For admission into programmes of study at the Uganda Management Institute, UMI, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

UGANDA MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

The following are the requirements for admission to Degree programmes:

Degree Courses(3years durations)

  1. Direct entry scheme (S6 Leavers with at least 2 principal passes).
  1. Diploma holder from any recognized institution.
  2. Holder of mature age entry examination qualifications from a recognized university.

Diploma Courses(2years durations)

  1. Direct entry scheme (A Level entry with one principal pass and 2 subsidiaries).
  2. Certificate holders from a recognized institution.

Certificate Courses(1 year duration).

  1. Senior four levers with at least three passes for certificates
  2. Holders of per-entry elementary certificates.

UGANDA MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Masters / Higher Degree (2 Years duration)

  1. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline.
  2. A postgraduate diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Post Graduate Diplomas (1 year duration)

  1. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline.
