Mandela S.S., Hoima started in May 1997 under the sole proprietorship of Hon. Dr. Lawrence Bategeka Nkooto. Mandela S.S. started from rental facilities behind the Kwebiiha hostel in Hoima town before it acquired its land. In the year 2000, Mandela acquired its land in Kiryateete West.
Mandela SS Hoima started as a single Campus for both O-Level and A-Level until 2006. In 2007 it was divided into two Campuses for O-Level and A-Level. This was aimed at improving academic excellence and giving enough space for the students because of the large number of students. Mandela Main Campus is located in Kiryateete and Mandela S.S Annex is located in Bujwahya, behind the Omukama’s palace.

NB: You are strongly advised to pay full school fees before your child reports to school to avoid the inconvenience of sending your child back home. In case you cannot pay all the fees at once, pay not less than the minimum indicated for specific classes and categories of students.
UNEB REGISTRATION 2024
Every prospective S.4 and S.6 student must pay UNEB registration fees before being enrolled in a candidate class. The amount of money payable in this respect, which includes both UNEB registration fees and the cost of an electronic passport photograph for your Son/Daughter, is Shs 260,000 for S.6 and S.4 candidates. This amount is included in the total fees payable by students in candidate classes. Your son/daughter in a candidate class is respectively required to bring the following;
- 2 photocopies of P.L.E slips for S.4 Candidates
- 2 photocopies of U.C.E results slips for S.6 Candidates
- 1 photocopy of birth certificate
