The school is accredited by Ministry of Education and recognized by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). It is regulated and supervised by Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) Uganda; and it is an authorized Examination Centre for the Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board (UAHEB).
The school trains Medical Clinical Officers to avert the acute national doctor-to-patient ratio. The graduates of the school improve patient care at lower-level health centres where the majority of the population accesses services.
