Makerere University Call for Applications: Master of Public Health Nutrition

The Academic Registrar Makerere University invites applications for the Master of Public Health Nutrition (MPHN). The programme aims at training competent professional Public Health Nutrition practitioners who will contribute towards improving Health and Nutrition wellbeing of the population of Uganda and beyond. 

With a curriculum developed by field staff from humanitarian, academia and international organizations, students are exposed to hands-on experience of the real-life challenges in nutrition and the interrelationships between nutrition and health. 

The program is open to Ugandans and non-Ugandans who fulfill the admission requirements. The requirements described below are the minimum academic conditions for admission: 

  • A degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Medicine or Nursing, or any other Medical Discipline from a recognised institution. 
  • A degree in any biological sciences from a recognised institution for example: Food Science and Technology, Veterinary Medicine, Sports Sciences, Home Economics, Agriculture and other relevant courses. 
  • A degree in Arts or Social Sciences having obtained at least a credit in Mathematics at the Ordinary Level. Field experience is an added advantage.
