Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) Uganda’s apex body for the private sector is collaborating with the MasterCard Foundation (MCF) to co-implement Young Africa Works in Uganda – Enhancing Lead Firm Structure for Youth Employment Program. The Intervention’s ultimate goal is to create dignified and fulfilling work for young women and men and contribute to the effort to lifting Ugandans out of poverty. The intervention focuses on creating, maintaining and sustaining growth in job markets through strengthening the capacity of actors to efficiently produce and sell their goods and services in expanded markets, developing new diversified financing mechanisms as well as growing the capacity of business leaders and their support service providers to manage and expand
their enterprises. This transformative intervention will also transition Micro Enterprises to Small Enterprises.

Job Summary:    The YAW(U) programme is a multi-partner
intervention with all partners operating as part of collective and collaborative approach to driving impact. PSFU was identified to facilitate Young Africa Works Uganda partners to ensure alignment of activities to the YAW Uganda Strategy. The PSFU was found suitable to lead and coordinate efforts because of its convening power and ability to leverage an extensive network among stakeholders. Under the project the PSFU will establish collaboration and co-implementation structures and systems with the rest of the implementing partners to ensure robust implementation of the YAW. The Investment Specialist/Engagement and Partnership Affairs (IS/Partnerships) will be the key person for this. The IS/ Partnerships will report to and be guided and supported by the Project Director.Under
the overall responsibility and technical supervision the Project Director, the
IS/ Partnerships will head the division within the Project Management Unit
responsible for liaison and coordination with the other intervention partners and will be in charge of the capacity building of growth enablers component. The specific duties of the IS/Partnerships

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:·       
The applicant must hold a Master’s level degree or higher in economics,
social studies, public relations, business management/ administration, project management, international trade, related field;·       
At least five years of working experience promoting partnerships or
playing similar liaison roles in a recognised institution;·       
Demonstrated written, analytical, presentation, reporting and computing
skills and familiarity with modern communication systems (internet, worldwide web, email etc.)·

strong understanding of the private sector issues (national, regional and
global)·
