UBTEB Releases July-August Examination Results

Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) will start the conduct of examinations across the country from 7th August 2023 to 24th August 2023 at 517 examination centres. The Board registered a total of 64,387 candidates. Of these candidates, 19,298 are females and 45,089 males.

By UBTEB rules on the conduct of examinations, the Heads of centres briefed candidates yesterday on 4th August 2023 across the country.

The Board has started the delivery of all examination materials at storage facilities across the country with the help of the Uganda Police Force.

As part of enhancing inclusive education, the Board has registered a total of 175 candidates pursuing various academic TVET professions. Of these candidates, 58 require attention. who require special attention and. The SNE cases include; Dyslexia, Visual impairment (blind), Hard of hearing (deaf), and Physical disability.

The Special needs candidates will be accorded special examination arrangements such as sign language interpreters and transcribers, while others will be accorded extra 30 minutes.

The Board has accordingly deployed 58 support personnel to assist candidates with special needs.

As part of vigilance and ensuring the security of examinations, the Board has deployed 508 Examinations managers including Reconnoiters and Monitors, Given the practical and hands-on assessment of some modules, the Board deployed 22,515 practical Assessors and verifiers to conduct on-spot assessments of candidates in the fields of cosmetology, catering, and engineering programs.

The Board encourages all Heads of centres to adhere to the UBTEB rules and regulations on the conduct of examinations. The Board encourages all candidates to desist from involvement in any form of examination malpractices.

Any form of involvement shall attract severe penalties ranging from cancellation of all results for the entire semester/term to imprisonment or caution.

How to Check UBTEB Results Online:

  1. Visit the UNEB eReg Portal via https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results
  2. On the Results Page, Enter your Index Number.
  3. Click on Search and wait for your results to show up on the next page.

How to Check UBTEB Results via SMS

This is done by sending a simple SMS to 6600.

  • For P7 UNEB PLE Results, go to messages on your phone and type PLE <space> Index No e.g. PLE 000001/001, and send this to 6600.
  • For S4 UNEB UCE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UCE <space> Index No e.g. UCE U0001/001 and send this to 6600.
  • For S6 UNEB UACE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UACE <space> Index No e.g. UACE U0001/501 and send this to 6600.
  • For Technical Institute results, go to messages on your phone and type TECH <space> Index No e.g. TECH UT002/0001 and send this to 6600.
