The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board UBTEB will today release the results of diploma and certificate programmes. A total of 30180 candidates sat for the examinations. Of these candidates, 22,862 were males while only 7,318 candidates were females.
The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) will today release the results of diploma and certificate programmes for over 30,000 students.
UBTEB Executive Secretary, Onesmus Oyesigye, says the categories whose results will be released include business diplomas and national certificate programmes, national technical certificate programmes, and technically advanced craft programmes.
The diplomas and national certificates are awarded to students who join technical and business institutions after senior six while national certificates are awarded to those who join after completing senior four.
The examinations were conducted in November and December last year.
Onesimus says a total of 30180 candidates sat for the examinations. Of these candidates, 22,862 were males while only 7,318 candidates were females.
Onesimus says the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni, authorized the release of the examination results. The release, to be officiated by State Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo, will take place at UBTEB head offices in Ntinda.
Onesmus said UBTEB will also release transcripts for candidates who completed their courses so that they can proceed to the world of work or join other institutions for career progression.
UBTEB this year introduced a policy of releasing examination results in two shifts. In January UBTEB released the Uganda Community Polytechnic Certificate results.
These were for students of Community Polytechnics, Technical Schools, and Farm Schools that are admitted after primary seven leavers.
The policy of releasing results in January is intended to give students a chance to be admitted together with ordinary-level leavers into national certificate programmes in different institutions.
Students who wrote the exams are to follow the procedures below to check their Results on the UNEB eReg Portal.

How to Check UBTEB Results Online:
- Visit the UNEB eReg Portal via https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results
- On the Results Page, Enter your Index Number.
- Click on Search and wait for your results to show up on the next page.
How to Check UBTEB Results via SMS
This is done by sending a simple SMS to 6600.
- For P7 UNEB PLE Results, go to messages on your phone and type PLE <space> Index No e.g. PLE 000001/001 and send this to 6600.
- For S4 UNEB UCE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UCE <space> Index No e.g. UCE U0001/001 and send this to 6600.
- For S6 UNEB UACE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UACE <space> Index No e.g. UACE U0001/501 and send this to 6600.
- For Technical Institute results, go to messages on your phone and type TECH <space> Index No e.g. TECH UT002/0001 and send this to 6600.
