The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) plans to release the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results on Friday, 10, 2023, as a top official has UG Standard.
The 2023 UCE results will be released by Education Minister Janet Museveni who is the political head of the ministry.
Like the case on PLE, the top official said that the results will be released from the State House, Nakasero in Kampala.
UG Standard learnt that there will be a briefing on the performance of students on Wednesday 8, 2023 in the presence of Mrs Museveni and education ministry top officials.
The briefing, a precursor to the release of the results, is expected to take place at State House, Kampala.
The briefing will be done by Dan Odongo, the UNEB’s executive secretary, and the board’s chairperson, Prof. Mary Okwakol.
After the briefing, an announcement of the official date for the release of the results, and the related modalities will be done.
This will be the second set of the national exams to be released after PLE results that were released last week.
A total of 349,445 candidates registered to sit the examination from 3703 Examination Centres.
Of these, 175,923 (50.3%) of the candidates are males, while 173,522 (49.7%) are females.
A total of 114,200 (32.7%) of the candidates were funded under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) Programme, while 235,245 (77.3%) candidates are Non-USE.

Five hundred nineteen (519) of the candidates were Special Needs Education (SNE) candidates.
During the interface with MPs, Mr Odongo notified them that the marking of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) is underway.
“The marking of UACE examinations has just commenced with the arrival of examiners at various marking centres,” Mr Odongo said.
In the main time, the official date to release the UCE and UACE results is not out. As soon as we get the date and time our team will publish it.
