DIRECT ENTRY SCHEME, 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISISON TO UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES ON PRIVATE SPONSORSHIP, FOR, 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR

1.0. Call for applications

The Academic Registrar Muni University invites applications from qualified and interested applicants for admission to the underlisted undergraduate degree programmes on Private Sponsorship for 2021/2022 Academic Year. The deadline for application is Friday 22nd October 2021.

2.0. General Admission requirements

Eligible applicants MUST possess:
2.1. A’ level (UACE)
i) At least two (2) principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (U.A.C.E) or its equivalent, and
ii) At least five (5) passes at Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
2.2. Holders of Higher Education Certificate
A credit in Higher Education Certificate in Humanities OR Sciences (with a bias Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry) from a recognized institution. Please refer to 5.0. for relevant programmes.

4.0. Specific programme requirements (A’ level applicants)

In addition, there are other specific programme requirements which applicants MUST fulfill before they are selected for admission.

4.1. Bachelor of Nursing Science
Applicants for Bachelor of Nursing Science MUST have obtained at least a Credit in English Language at O’ level (U.C.E).

4.2. Bachelor of Business Administration and Management
Applicants for Bachelor of Business Administration and Management MUST have obtained at least a Credit in Mathematics at O’ level (U.C.E)

5.0. Relevant programmes for holders of Higher Education Certificate

5.1. Higher Education Certificate in Humanities Bachelor of Economics (ECM), Bachelor of Information Systems (ISM), and Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (BBM).
5.2. Higher Education Certificate in Sciences Bachelor of Information Systems (ISM), Bachelor of Science in Information
Technology (ITM), Bachelor of Nursing Science (NSM), Bachelor of Science with Education (SMB and SMP), Bachelor of Economics (ECM), Bachelor of Science (BSM), and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (ASM).
NOTE: Applicants who possess Higher Education Certificate MUST submit (by mail on; ar@muni.ac.ug) scanned copies of their O’ level (UCE), A’ level (UACE) and the Higher Education Certificate at the time of application.

6.0. How to Apply

Application is Online. Please follow the Online application procedure below. The applicant MUST have an active (functional) email address, and a Mobile phone number.
(i) Log in: https://admissions.muni.ac.ug/
(ii) Sign up using full name, e-mail and mobile number. Please note that your name must be similar to the one on your supporting documents for your application to be accepted by the system.
(iii) A password will be sent to both your e-mail and mobile telephone number. The system will prompt you to change the password to the one you can easily remember.
(iv) To fill application form, the applicant clicks on the APPLY NOW button displayed on the running scheme.
(v) Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on “Pay for the Form” button and get the reference number, which you will take to the bank.
(vi) Pay a non-refundable application fee plus bank charge at any Bank branch
(NOT Bank Agents) or through Mobile Money on the system.
 Ugandans and East Africa (Incl. South Sudan): Ug. shs. 50,000
 Other Nationals: Equivalent of USD 50.

7.0. Other Pertinent Information

(i) Applicants are ADVISED to read carefully about the programme/s they are
applying for, and also the online application procedure.
(ii) Applicants are further advised to select the right scheme of admission
applicable to them.
(iii) Payment of application fees SHOULD be made within the stipulated time (i.e. 24 hours after generating the payment reference number- PRN).
(iv) Only paid-up applications will be processed for selection and admission
purposes.
(v) Successful applicants for ITM, ISM, SMB, SMP, NSM, ASM, and BSM can apply for Student Loan scheme (once the advert for student loan scheme is published).
(vi) Successful applicants for BBM and ECM (i.e. applicants with Disabilities only) are also eligible for Student Loan scheme.
(vii) Arrangements will be made to support applicants who encounter challenges in the course of online application.
