It remained a school for Clinical Officers until 2016 when Diplomas in Public Health Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Service Management and Anesthesia were introduced. The school is transiting to an allied health Institution training producing proffessional health officers
The School has a distinguished history of student education, service and research for over six (6) decades with a current student population of 444 and the student population is expected to rise up to 1500 students by the end of the Plan Period.

Requirements:
1. Diploma in Clinical medicine, Diploma in Public Health Dentistry, and Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences and Diploma in Medical Laboratory and Technology – A minimum of 2 Principal passes at the same sitting in Science subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics. – Must not have been out of school for more than three years.
2. Diploma in Anaesthesia – Diploma in Nursing. Or Diploma in Midwifery, or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized Training Institution.
3. Diploma in Health Leadership and Management, 1 year post basic diploma in health related discipline.
