Call for Applications The Academic Registrar hereby invites applications from qualified DIPLOMA HOLDERS to fill the available Admission slots under GOVERNMENT and PRIVATE Sponsorship Scheme, for 2020/2021 AY. Closing date for application is 30th April 2020.

Minimum Entry Requirements Eligible applicants under the Diploma Holders’ Scheme MUST possess:

At least a Second Class or Credit Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution, and;

U.A.C.E with at least One (1) Principal pass and Two (2) Subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent, and

U.C.E with at least Five (5) passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent. Note: In addition to the Minimum entry requirements, there are specific requirements for each programme which candidates MUST fulfill before they are admitted to the programme.

To fill a form, the applicant clicks on the apply now button displayed on the running scheme.

Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on “Pay for the Form” button and get the reference number, which you will take the bank.

Applicants for Bachelor of Nursing Science programme should have scored at least a Credit in English Language at ‘O’ Level. Successful applicants will be REQUIRED to sit for Pre-Entry Examination (Date shall be communicated in due course).

Applicants are REQUIRED to submit (by mail- below) certified copies of Diploma Transcripts and Certificates by the awarding Institutions, and a copy of the National Identity /Birth Certificate.

The fees (in Table above) relate to Tuition fees per Semester only, and exclude Functional fees.

Application fees for respective Sponsorship are charged and paid SEPARATELY.

Incomplete, inconsistent, false Information and forged documents shall not be accepted.

DIPLOMA HOLDERS’ AVENUE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA HOLDERS SEEKING ADMISSION TO BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMMES 1.0. MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (GENERIC) Eligible candidates under the Diploma Holders’ category Must possess: i) At least a Second Class or Credit Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution plus; ii) UACE with at least One (1) Principal pass and Two (2) subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent, and iii) UCE with at least Five (5) passes level or its equivalent. NOTE: In addition to the minimum entry requirements, there are specific requirements for each programme which candidates MUST fulfill before they are admitted unto the programme. 2.0.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 2.1. Bachelor of Information Systems A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: i) Computer Science ii) Information Technology iii) Computer Engineering iv) Software Engineering v) Information Systems vi) Telecommunication Engineering vii) Library and Information Science viii) Records and Archives Management

ix) Electrical Engineering x) Electronics Engineering xi) Biomedical Engineering xii) Agricultural Sciences xiii) Information Management xiv) Mechanical Engineering xv) Health Related disciplines xvi) Education (with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture or Economics) 2.3. Bachelor of Science with Education A Diploma in the following disciplines: i) Diploma in Education Secondary (with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) 2.4. Bachelor of Nursing Science A Diploma in the following disciplines: i) General Nursing ii) Midwifery iii) Psychiatry Nursing/Mental Health iv) Physiotherapy v) Anesthesia vi) Occupational Therapy vii) Orthopedics viii) Clinical Medicine Note: Eligible candidates under this category: i) Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council, and for other disciplines must be registered with their relevant professional Councils/bodies. ii) Should possess a minimum of two (2) years work experience. iii) Must pass an entrance examination of Muni University. 2.5.
