Our client, the United Nations Federal Credit Union is looking for a Member Service Representative (MSR) with integrity, leadership abilities and commitment.

Job Responsibilities:
• The Member Service Representative will be responsible for determining members’ financial needs and making referrals where necessary, promoting the Credit Union’s product line, processing new accounts/loan applications, resolving issues with member accounts/loans, and assisting members to the fullest extent possible.
• Provide a memorable member experience at every touch point of service;
• Deepen connections with members to better understand their needs by asking effective questions and building relationships;
• Become a trusted advisor to members by presenting the features and benefits of the Credit Union’s products and services;
• Investigate issues with member accounts/loans, determine the necessary action to resoive ine issues is taken in a timely fashion; and keep members informed of the status of their issues;
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures, and keep abreast of new products, procedures and technology;
• Seek new memberships and open new accounts;
• Maintain confidentiality of all member account information;
• Make presentations and carry out member service calls as required.
• Respond to members’ telephone inquiries and requests and prepare responses to member correspondence; and
• Assist with various functions that contribute to the increased efficiency of the office.

Job Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years in a financial institution;
• Experience with retail banking products and mortgage financing products is preferable;
• Experience with ATM supervision and reconciliation;
• Knowledge of banking regulations pertaining to accounts, confidentiality and lending;
• Must demonstrate evidence of a strong sales and service orientation;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
• Excellent interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.
