The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective implementation of the planned design, providing all setting out on-site to ensure that work progresses on time and that all checks are carried out on a regular basis.

Genius Hub is a recruitment Firm that specializes in talent search and placement of highly skilled individuals. We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable individual for our client as a Site Engineer.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Site Engineer will include the following;
Key Responsibilities;
· Ensure accurate setting out and leveling of the works in accordance with the drawings/ specifications;
· Ensure all drawings and information relating to the post holder’s area of work are accurate and up-to-date;
· Review Architect/Engineer/Services/Sub-Contractor drawings to ensure coordination and integration;
· Ensure quality control and testing of work and materials are carried out in accordance with the specification requirements;
· Ensure works are carried out in accordance with the Construction Programme;
· Carry out check on works prior to and following any concrete pours;
· Act as the main technical advisor, direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors when required;
· Liaise with local authorities as appropriate to ensure compliance with local construction regulations;
· Deliver toolbox talks on-site;
· Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the Company’s Site Waste Minimisation and Management policy;
· Establish, maintain and build good relations with clients as well as their representatives and ensure other QA Project Team and subcontractors do likewise;
· Fulfill health, safety, and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s Policy and in compliance with the legal regulations ;
· Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001;
· Continually develop knowledge of innovative construction techniques and products to enhance the business and fulfill the company CPD requirements;
· Contribute to the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives;
· Establish the level and survey control for contracts Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis;
· Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organizational and legal requirements;
· Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time;
· Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure the site has adequate resources to complete the tasks;
· Set out sites and organize facilities;
· Supervise contracted staff;
· Ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales;
· Prepare site reports and fill in other paperwork;
· Liaise with quantity surveyors about the orders and negotiate the price of materials; and
· Any other duties that may be assigned to you by management from time to time.

Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, High-level qualification in construction or any related discipline;
· At least 5 years + experience of setting-out on building projects;
· Experience setting-out on housing projects, roads, utilities and other aspects of site development;
· Safe pass & manual handling training;
· Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects is an added advantage;
· Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations; and
· Maturity, teamwork and integrity.
