Job Description

Our client deals in the Road Construction Business and is looking for a self- motivated and qualified Procurement Officer with experience in the same field. The ideal candidate will be required to streamline procurement processes and methods so as to fully optimize OPEX through best procurement practices. The main duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Officer will include the following;

Key Responsibilities;

  • Inspection and acceptance of goods procured;
  • Processing system LPOs/POs and sharing with awarded suppliers;
  • Opening of prequalification documents;
  • Evaluating prequalification bids;
  • Maintain and update the list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development;
  • Inventory Management;
  • Maintains records of purchases, pricing, and all procurement data;
  • Managing Purchase requisitions and orders/RFQ, RFP;
  • Assists the Procurement manager in establishing quarterly market prices for commonly procured items;
  • Participates in quarterly updates of assets register;
  • Establishes quarterly reports on conditions/status of ALL company assets;
  • Assists the Procurement Manager in developing the company’s consolidated procurement plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Procurement;
  • Relevant Professional qualification-Supply Chain Management;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field;
  • Strong mindset for continuous improvement and exceeding expectations;
  • Business-driven with Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality;
  • Proven experience working with a construction company; and 
  • A high degree of integrity and be a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
