The aim of the program is to prepare graduates for the varied and challenging demands of a Mechanical Engineer. Therefore the program will be based on Mathematics and engineering science subjects as follows;

Diploma in Civil Engineering

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

ii) Design, product innovation and manufacturing,

iii) Maintenance and management,

iv) Material science, materials engineering and material handling,

v) Solid mechanics and dynamics,

vi) Automotive engineering

vii) Entrepreneurship and Business management

viii) Computing and computer aided design. These will prepare the student to face and solve problems in engineering with an understanding of the social and economic implications.

The overall objective of our Mechanical Engineering Programme is to produce Mechanical Engineering Graduates with a distinct educational base who are practical, articulate, numerate, literate, imaginative, versatile, confident and inquisitive.

Admission Requirement

For the Direct Entry Scheme is straight to the first year for a FOUR (4) year full-time programme.

For the Diploma Entry Scheme the duration will vary from THREE to TWO years

For the Foundation Year Scheme whose courses are tailored specifically for people who wish to apply for an engineering degree at Ndejje University, but who do not have the necessary entry qualifications making it a FIVE (5) year course.

Eligibility
At least five (5) passes at “O” level (UCE) or its equivalent and two relevant principle passes at “A” level (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent. A post “O” level diploma or certificate with at least two years relevant experience in the desired field.

Eligibility
At least five (5) passes at “O” level (UCE) or its equivalent and one relevant principle and two subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting at “A” level (UACE) or its equivalent or a post “O” level diploma / certificate.
