St. Karoli Lwanga Nyakibale School of Nursing and Midwifery Admission

An applicant shall be considered eligible for admission to the Enrolled Nursing Course if he or she is of the age between 17 and 25 years and fulfills the entry requirements:

Entry Requirements: 

The minimum education standard for admission toe Enrolled Nursing Course, Enrolled Midwifery Course, or Enrolled Comprehensive Course* shall be the Uganda Certificate of Education – U.C.E.- [Ordinary Level Certificate] or ills equivalent with at least six [6] passes, which should be:
Biology Mathematics Chemistry Physics and one other A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education — UAC.E.

Admission Criteria:

Applicants for Nurse Training at Enrolled level must: meet the required minimum educational standard not more than three [3] years before the date of application for admission  pass an entry examination to the course  Satisfy the selection panel at an oral interview

Conform to the standards of medical fitness required by the training authority
Have attained the age of 17* years, to be accepted as eligible for training *Applicants for Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing must be 18 years old.

Applicants for Midwifery must be female.

Admission to Karoli Lwanga for all applicants follows the stipulated procedures set by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Sports, the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau and the Board of Governors of the School.

Karoli Lwanga School of Nursing and Midwifery is a full time residential program.
