Course Objective

The PGDIT course is an extensive course that equips students with an integrated set of skills that will allow them to develop professional careers in Information Technology thus building their future capabilities using world-class technology.

The students are equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge that is necessary to enable them to understand the design of complex computer applications/science. At the end of the program, the student will possess a strong foundation in computer systems and Information Technology to work with higher-end programming languages and the dexterity to build sophisticated software for a wide area of applications as well as the managerial ability to analyze, design and maintain software.

Eligibility Criteria

(A) For Direct Entry

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 Principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent, obtained at the same sitting
(iii) Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University.

(B) For Lateral Entry to Semester 2

(i) All the above (i) to (iv) criteria
(ii) UG Degree in BBA or equivalent as assessed in (a) (iii) above
(iii) 2 years of work experience in any organization
