Mbarara University Postgraduate Admissions 2019/2020

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following postgraduate programmes offered by MUST beginning August 2019 on paying a non-refundable application fee of shs.52,750/=(Shs. 82,750/= for MBA) for Ugandans or

US $ 50 for International students.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum requirements for admission to any Postgraduate degree are:

a)Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes

b)Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 principal passes.

c)A Honors degree from a recognized degree awarding institution

Additionally, applicants to any Master of Medicine programmes MUST meet the following minimum entry requirements:

i.International Applicants whose must pass an English proficiency exam with a minimum score (minimum level of proficiency to be determined by the institution)

ii.Pass an oral interview (in person or Skype) prior to admission consideration

iii.Have a documentary evidence of Internship Training indicating disciplines and dates, verification of Academic Documents by NCHE for International Students

iv.One year experience inactive clinical practice as registered medical practitioner

v.Non-Ugandan applicants, have their degree certificate and transcript translated and converted into an equivalent of Ugandan Universities’ CGPA

vi.A current Certificate of Good Standing with the Medical Practitioners’ Council of the country of origin.

MASTER OF MEDICINE IN EAR, NOSE AND THROAT (Duration 3 years)

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PhD) PROGRAMS

The University offers PhD in the fields of Science, Education, Medicine, Computing, Management, Biomedical Engineering and Development Studies. Program duration is 3 years.

–Profile of proposed supervisor
