1. Kampala Capital City Authority FC (KCCA FC)
One of the most decorated clubs in Ugandan football history, KCCA FC is arguably the most successful Uganda club of the 21st century.
With 13 League titles in Uganda’s top flight, 10 Uganda Cups, and 2 CECAFA Clubs Cups, they have truly cemented their status amongst Uganda’s elite clubs
2. Vipers SC
Many of Uganda’s-renowned players have donned the Vipers SC iconic Red jersey. The Venoms, having given birth to the emergence of players like Miya, Luwagga, Wadada, Halid, Juuko, Odur, Mike Mutyaba, and Saddam Juma proves how the club remains one of the most complete in the last decade.
3. Express FC
Founded in 1957, Express FC is the oldest in Uganda football and among the most successful football clubs in Uganda. The club has won a record 17 titles which include 6 league titles, 10 Uganda Cups, and 1 Hedex Cup.
4. Sc Villa Jogoo
The Jogoos as widely known, the Club has won more trophies than any other club in Uganda football. Villa has won a record 16 league titles, 9 Uganda Cups, and 3 CECAFA Clubs Cups (the most by a Ugandan Club).
5. Uganda Revenue Authority SC
Nicknamed the ‘Tax collectors’, URA SC is a young club having played their first Uganda premier league game in 2002 having taken over Lyantombe.
However, they have denied the odds of winning the top-tier league four times and the Uganda Cup on three occasions.
6. Onduparaka FC
The club’s name means ‘sorghum stem’ in the Lugbara language while the motto is: The struggle continues. Onduparaka FC was formed in late October 2011 as an amateur club. They play home games at Greenlight Stadium in Onduparaka, a suburb.
7. Police FC
A maiden football club inaugurated in 1965 has proved to be one of Uganda’s top clubs. The club was initially formed to embed the Uganda police forces into sporting activities specifically football.
8. Wakiso Giants
The team is a Ugandan football club based in Wakiso District that plays in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. The club was established in 2009 as Artland Katale. It earned promotion to the top tier after topping Elgon Group with 41 points in the 2018/19 season.
9. Maroons FC
Maroons Football Club is also known as Prisons Football Club. Playing as Prisons FC, the club won the first two editions of the Ugandan Premier League in 1968 and 1969.
10. Proline FC
Proline FC was founded in 2006 and was promoted to the top-flight Uganda Premier League in 2007. The team has been seen as a flourishing young team with the 2018-19 season being one of their best ever.
