Uganda Martyrs University Undergraduate Courses Entry Requirements
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Direct Entry from Schools: A candidate must have obtained the Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E) with six credits of which one credit must be in English; and at least two (2) principal passes in the relevant subjects at A’ Level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) obtained at one sitting.
- Diploma Entry: A candidate must have obtained a diploma (at credit / distinction level) in the relevant field from a recognised institution.
- Mature Age Entry: A candidate must be 25 years and above and must have been out of school for at least three years prior to his/her application. A candidate must have obtained a Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E) or its equivalent and must successfully pass the mature entry examination.
- Pre-University: Candidates who do not have the minimum requirements for entry into undergraduate programmes of Uganda Martyrs University may spend a pre-university year at the university. To qualify for the pre-university programme, a candidate must have obtained one (1) principal pass at one sitting at A’ Level in the relevant subjects. S/he shall pass the pre-university examinations with an average of at least 65% and be admitted for an undergraduate programme in the same field; and will not be exempted from any courses already undertaken during the pre-university period. Each Faculty shall design a Pre-University programme and prepare the required examinations following the University examination rules and regulations.
