What is Driving License?
A driver’s license is a legal authorization, or the official document confirming such an authorization, for a specific individual to operate one or more types of motorized vehicles such
as motorcycles, cars, trucks, or buses on a public road. Such licenses are often plastic and the size of a credit card.

Where can I apply for a driving license in Uganda?
Welcome to the Uganda Driver Licensing SystemWe are open from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm, and on Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.
Our offices are closed on Sundays and public holidays. Visit any of our branches in Kampala, Gulu, Arua, Mbarara, Fort Portal, Mbale, and Jinja to get or renew your driving license.
How long does it take to get a driving license in Uganda?
It should take three to four days if you are processing a license for the first time or adding a class.
If you are renewing a lapsed license, please allow for at least one week.
Is Uganda driving License international?
The IDP allows motorists to drive vehicles in foreign countries. You must always have your IDP along with your national license at all times.
