Pharmacy is the science and practice of discovering, producing, preparing, dispensing, reviewing, and monitoring medications, aiming to ensure the safe, effective, and affordable use of
medicines. It is a miscellaneous science as it links health sciences with pharmaceutical sciences and natural sciences.
Requirements For Certificate In Pharmacy In Uganda
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or it’s equivalent with at least 5 passes.
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or it’s equivalent with at least 2 principal passes.
Diploma holders must have passed with at least a credit.
How many years does it take to become a pharmacist in Uganda?
The entry-level degree for pharmacists in Uganda is a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm). It is a 4-
year degree but after graduating, there is a mandatory 1-year Internship prior to being eligible for licensure.
