How long can Azam Flour last?
All flour has a printed “best by” or “best if used by” date somewhere on the package. This date reflects the manufacturer’s suggested date for best quality.
You can generally use flour for four to six months past this date, depending on how you’ve stored the flour more on that in a moment!
How do you know if flour is expired?
Beyond that, there’s one simple way to tell if flour is beyond its expiration date: “Smell it!”
“Flour should have no smell, or a minimal nutty or sweet smell,” she says. “When flour has gone bad it has a more sour or playdough-like smell.”
