The Academic Registrar, Muni University invites online applications for Direct–Private EntryScheme admission to the following programmes for the Academic Year.

Detailed weighting criteria and fee structure can be accessed on the website; http://admissions.muni.ac.ugor www.muni.ac.ug Applicants should fill the forms online from the website: http://admissions.muni.ac.ug On submitting the form, print out a payslip and pay a non-refundable fee of UGX. Shs.50, 000/= (Nationals from the Republics of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan) and $50 (Other Nationals) plus whatever bank charges are levied by each bank integrated with our system namely: Stanbic Bank.

Applicants must ensure that they meet all the entry requirements the school management sets before they start their application.

Certificate Courses

Admission to Certificate Courses will be based on any of the following minimum qualifications:

  • KCSE means a grade of C- or equivalent.
  • An O’ level mean grade of Division III or equivalent.
  • An A Level qualification with a minimum of two subsidiary passes or equivalent.

Diploma Courses

Admission to Diploma Courses will be based on any of the following minimum qualifications:

  • KCSE means grade C.
  • KCSE mean grade C- or equivalent plus a Certificate
  • An O’ level qualification with a minimum division III or equivalent
  • An A’ level qualification with a minimum of two subsidiary passes or equivalent

How to Apply for Muni University (MU) Application Form

You are recommended to follow the guidelines provided below to successfully submit an application for admission to Muni University for the 2023/2024 academic year:


General Admission Requirements
A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to a First Degree Programme at the
University if he/ she has:

(i) The Ugandan Certificate of Education (O’ Level) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same
sitting, and
(ii) At least 2 Principal Passes in approved subjects obtained at the same sitting of the Uganda
Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (A ‘Level

  • Candidates can apply MU Application Form by going to the MU Admission Portal at  https://admissions.muni.ac.ug/
  • and click the “Apply Button” to proceed.

Please Note that the Muni University Application Form is in three different categories,

N.B. An applicant who makes a false declaration or withholds relevant information may be refused admission. In the case where a student has enrolled, he/she will be withdrawn and may be prosecuted.
