How To Replace A Lost National ID In Uganda
You will be able to replace your ID through the following steps below;
Download a replacement form
As a cause, the first thing you must do in regaining your National ID card is to browse the NIRA website and access the Forms drop-down menu which embeds the Forms for registration of a person’s category for a replacement form.
Visit your nearest NIRA office
The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) main offices are located at the Kololo Airstrip.
Prepare/Pay replacement fees
You will be required to pay a minimum price of UGX 50,000 excluding bank charges before you get a National ID replacement.
How long does it take to replace a lost ID in Uganda?
This process can take up to 3 months.
How much is replacing a National ID in Uganda?
Payment receipt of shs. 50,000/-. Visit a nearby Bank and inform them that you’d like to pay for NIRA Replacement of National ID.
