How Did Uganda Find Gold
Over the last two years, the East African country commissioned aerial exploration across the country, followed by geophysical and geochemical surveys and analyses. The gold can be mined with immediate effect.
In July the Ugandan Government said exploration surveys in the country had revealed vast estimated gold deposits of around 31 million tones.
Who is mining gold in Uganda?
In a bid to boost the country’s economy, the Ugandan government has licensed Wagagai gold mining company, a Chinese firm to start producing gold products in Busia district.
The company embarked on the construction of its gold refinery valued in phases in the district in 2016.
