as motorcycles, cars, trucks, or buses on a public road. Such licenses are often plastic and the size of a credit card.

What is required to get a Driver’s License In Uganda?

Requirements. A certificate of competence for the applicant duly stamped and endorsed at the back by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV) specifying the group(s) of vehicles the applicant is qualified to drive.

A driving test revenue receipt should be attached. A valid provisional driving license should be attached.

How long is a driving license valid in Uganda?

A full driver’s license can renew up to 2 years after expiry, beyond that the license lapses, and renewing this will involve another visit to the IOV.
