Applications For Bursaries at FAWE Uganda for Academic Year 2024/2025

Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Uganda Chapter has received an additional grant from Social Initiatives to support 35 young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and Eastern and Northern Uganda regions for the Academic Year 2024/2025.

The program’s objective is to enable students from the selected districts to complete higher education; provide academic and psycho-social support and facilitate pathways for students to internships, industrial practice, and employment. Students from the districts of Abim, Agago, Amuria, Kween Luuka, Napak, Namayingo, Nwoya, and Moyo will be facilitated to access and complete access and tertiary and university education.

The program is being implemented in partnership with four universities: Busitema University, Gulu University, Lira University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), in addition to Medical Laboratory Technology Training School, Jinja School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Mulago Paramedical School.

FAWE Uganda, therefore, announces the availability of 35 bursaries to support the following categories of students; University Degree Program (10) slots, Diploma in Medical Course i.e. Orthopedic Medicine, Radiography & Nursing (8) slots, Certificate in Midwifery (10) slots and Certificate in Medical in Science Education Laboratory Technology (7) slots.

The bursaries come with comprehensive financial, academic and psycho-social support to students for the entire duration of their studies. The bursary is available to only those who meet the eligibility criteria.
