1.0. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
1.1. Direct Entry Scheme (A’ level leavers)
Eligible applicants MUST possess: At least Two (2) principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent, and At least Five (5) passes at Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
1.2. Holders of Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC)
Eligible applicants MUST possess a Credit in Higher Education Access Certificate in Humanities OR Sciences from a recognized institution. Please refer to 5.0. for applicable programmes.
1.3. Mature Age Entry Scheme
Eligible applicant MUST: Be 25 Years and above, and has passed the Mature Age examinations with at least a 50% mark. The mature age examinations must have been sat at a NCHE accredited Centre, Not more than 2 years ago.
1.4. Diploma holders’ Entry Scheme
Eligible applicants Must possess at least a Second Class or Credit Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution plus; UACE with at least One (1) Principal pass and Two (2) subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent, and UCE with at least Five (5) passes level or its equivalent.

1.5. Specific programme requirements (Direct Entry Scheme). Applicants for:
(i) Bachelor of Nursing Science MUST have obtained at least a Credit in English Language at O’ level (UCE).
(ii) Bachelor of Business Administration and Management MUST have obtained at least a Credit in Mathematics in UCE.
(iii) Bachelor of Science with Education; Subject combinations with:
Physical Education (i.e. BIO/P.E, MTC/P.E, and ECO/P.E) MUST have a principal pass in either; Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture or Food & Nutrition at A’ level, WHILE

1.6. Applicable programmes for holders of Higher Education Certificate Holders of Higher Education Access Certificate in Humanities are eligible for admission to programmes coded: ECM, ISM, and BBM, while Higher Education
Access Certificate in Sciences can apply for: ISM, ITM, NSM, SMB, SMP, SMC, SME, SMA, ECM, BSM), and ASM.
1.7. Important Notes
(i) Mature Age Applicants can apply for any Undergraduate programme except Bachelor of Education (Primary).
(ii) Bachelor of Information Systems, Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Science with Education programmes have been revised, and newly re-accredited by NCHE with effect from 2021/2022 AY.
(iii) Successful applicants for ITM, ISM, SMB, SMP SME, SMC, SMA, NSM, ASM, and BSM can apply for Student Loan scheme (once the advert for student loan scheme is published).
(iv) Applicants for BBM and ECM (i.e. applicants with Disabilities only) are also eligible for Student Loan scheme.

4.0. How to Apply (ONLINE application procedure)
Please follow the procedure below. The applicant MUST have an active email address and a Mobile phone number.
(i) Login: https://admissions.muni.ac.ug/
(ii) Sign up using full name, e-mail and mobile number. Please note that your name must be similar to the one on your supporting documents for your application to be accepted by the system.
(iii) A password will be sent to both your e-mail and mobile telephone number. The system will prompt you to change the password to the one you can easily remember.
(iv) To fill application form, click on the “Apply Now” button displayed on the running scheme.
(v) Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on the “Pay for the Form” button and get a payment reference number.
(vi) Pay a non-refundable fee plus bank charge at any Bank branch (NOT Bank Agents) or through Mobile Money. Ugandans and East Africa (Incl. South Sudan): Ug. shs. 50,000 while Other Nationals: Equivalent of USD 50.
(vii) Payment of application fees SHOULD be made within the stipulated time (within 24 hours). Only paid-up applications will be processed for selection and admission purposes.
(viii) Arrangements will be made to support applicants who encounter challenges in the course of online application.
NOTE: Applicants under Graduate Entry, Diploma Entry, Mature Age, and Higher Education Access Certificate entry schemes MUST scan and attach on the application portal certified copies of Academic Documents (as a single file in PDF format and not exceeding 1 MB). Mature Age applicants must attach a Birth Certificate and/or National ID.
