Muni University is the sixth public university established by Statutory Instrument Number. The University officially opened in Academic Year. The University’s main campus is located at Muni, near National Teachers’ College, Muni in Arua District, West Nile region approximately 3.5km south of Arua town.

3.0. ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
The following NCHE accredited programmes are offered.
1) Bachelor of Science in Information Technology [3 years]
2) Bachelor of Information Systems [3 years]
3) Bachelor of Science with Education (3 Years: Biological
option & Physical options)
4) Bachelor of Nursing Science [4 years]
4.0. MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS [GENERIC]
Eligible applicants should possess:

  1. Direct entry scheme (UACE)
    At least two principal passes at UACE Level obtained at the same sitting, with at least (five passes) at UCE level or its
    equivalent.
  2. Diploma entry scheme
    At least a Second Class or Credit Diploma from a recognized institution relevant to the programme applied for.
    Note: In addition to the minimum entry requirements, there are specific requirement for each programme which candidates must fulfill before they are admitted unto the programme.

Relevant diplomas disciplines include: information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Health Related disciplines, Education (with Mathematics, Physics, or Technical Drawing)
c) Tuition fee per Semester
Ugandans, EA, & South Sudan (UGX 1,250,000). International students (USD 1,250)
5.2. Bachelor of Information Systems (Duration: 3 years)
a) Direct entry
Essential: Two best done of: Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Agriculture.

Relevant: Third best done of: Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography,
Agriculture, Technical Drawing, and Food Nutrition.
Others: General Paper, Sub-Maths, Computer Studies
d) Diploma entry
Relevant diplomas disciplines include: information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunication Engineering, Library and Information Science,

Bachelor of Nursing Science (Duration: 4 years)

Others: General Paper, Sub-Maths, Computer Studies
b) Diploma entry
Relevant diplomas disciplines include: General Nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health, Physiotherapy, Anesthesia,
Occupational Therapy, Orthopedics, and Clinical Medicine.

7.0. STUDENT LOAN SCHEME

8.0. SCHOLARSHIPS
Limited merit-based scholarships exist under ADB-HEST meritbased students scholarships.
9.0. SHORT COURSES
9.1. CISCO Academy courses
Muni University is an accredited Cisco Academy, shall deliver among others; courses such as:
i) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
ii) Cisco IT Essentials (CITE) and
iii) Intermediate Computer Driving License (OCDL)
9.2. Certificate in English Language Proficiency (CELP)
This is a short term course designed to build capacity and enhance skills in English language for all people who need to improve on their English language proficiency

HOW TO APPLY
1) Application Forms are obtained from and returned to :
i) Office of the Academic Registrar, Muni University in Arua
ii) Kampala Liaison Office at Lincoln House Makerere University [Room A2] OR
iii) Downloaded online at www.muni.ac.ug, and emailed at ar@muni.ac.ug
2) A non-refundable application fee of UGX. Shs. 50,000/= (excluding bank charges) MUST be paid in the Muni University Fees Collection A/C No: 9030009220525 in STANBIC Bank in all branches across the country.
3) Completed application forms accompanied by relevant photocopies of academic documents, original bank payingin-slips and original receipts should be returned to Office of the Academic Registrar, Muni University.
