We are always on the lookout for great teachers.  If you are a certified teacher with more than two years of international teaching experience and if you are interested in serving Christ in Uganda, please email us and send your resume or C.V. REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must have a meaningful faith in Christ and a track record of service in their church and community.  
  • Teachers must have a valid teaching certificate, which can be from their home country.
  • Ideally teachers should have two years of teaching experience in a diverse classroom. 
  • For teachers coming from North America or Europe, international teaching and life experience is strongly preferred and usually required. 
  • For teachers from Uganda or other African nations who have not lived outside the continent, teaching experience in an internationally accredited international school is strongly preferred and almost always required. 

OPENINGS

CURRENT: Openings for academic year starting August 2020:

Acacia Senior School:

– Bible teacher – middle school bible teaching G6-8; coordinating spiritual retreats & chapels 

– Art teacher – join our art department, experience in iGCSE & A-Level Art Cambridge curriculum is preferred, but we also welcome teachers who have taught art in elementary and middle school

Acacia Junior School:

We are double streaming some of our junior school classes and will have new positions for class teachers opening:

Grade 1 teacher

Grade 3 teacher 

Grade 4 teacher 

Grade 5 teacher

BENEFITS

Working at Acacia is a ministry.  Most of our teachers have a deep sense of God’s calling in their life and are investing their time and talents at Acacia because of the eternal significance of our collective work rather than our salary or benefits package.  As a school, we try to support and care for our staff in a way that reflects God’s goodness and grace. Teachers coming from overseas are usually unaccompanied and receive a modest salary, furnished housing, medical coverage and a reimbursement for airfare.  Locally hired teachers do not receive housing but may recieve significant tuition discounts for their children.
