UG Collges  – Education and Sports minister Janet Museveni has Friday morning released the 2019 Uganda Certificate of Examinations (UCE) results at President’s Office in Kampala.

This is the fourth time Mrs. Museveni to release UCE results ever since she was appointed the political head of the ministry in 2016.

UNEB executive secretary Dan Odongo says that those who will not be able to go to schools and pick results will access the results by SMS or via the internet.

“Any person wishing to access results can do so through their mobile phones. Go to the message menu and type ‘UCE’, leave space, type correct candidate index number and then send it to 6600.”

PML Daily brings you an easy and hassle-free SMS service that will make it possible for candidates to check and access their results.

This is also the official procedure announced by the Ministry of Education and Sports.

How to check results on Phone?

You can get the 2019 UCE Results for any candidate in a few simple steps.

In your message box, type UCE <space> INDEX NUMBER and send it to 6600.

For example, to check the results of the candidate with index number U1016/001, in your message box, type UCE U1016/001 AND SEND TO 6600.

The user should then receive his/her examination results or registration details instantly. You will receive an SMS at a cost of UGX 500 per candidate

This is the official procedure announced by the authorities.

How to type the message

  • Go to messages
  • Type UCE
  • Leave space
  • Type the full index number
  • Send to 6600

How to check results through the internet?

Go to your web browser, Type ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.

In the form, enter the candidate’s Index Number and click SEARCH.

A page with the Candidate’s results will load.

However, two weeks ago, UNEB blocked the online option of checking Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) 2019 results after pressure from telecom companies MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda who were contracted to post results to students via Mobile SMS.

To this effect, the portal remained unavailable and Mr. Odongo advised parents and their pupils to utilize SMS services on mobile networks which will post results of candidates on their mobile sets instantly.

He said results will also be uploaded on the Schools Portals.
