Uganda Technology And Management University (UTAMU) to Partner with Somali Embassy to Support Refugees

On Friday, the Somali Embassy Education Attaché engaged with UTAMU on how they can partner to provide skills and knowledge to the Somali refugees in Uganda.

UTAMU Team meets with the Somali Embassy attache. 

The collaboration is intended to support Somali refugees based in Uganda.

“With this partnership, UTAMU will support the Somali Ministry of Education to train the Somali refugees who are in Uganda through skills development,” says Mr. Merisan Tulyahebwa, the Academic Registrar UTAMU.

The university will train Somali students in English Language classes, offer bursary offers and equip them with knowledge and skills in different academic programmes.

The two parties are yet to sign a memorandum of understanding.
