Outbox Hub
As an Innovation hub based in Kampala, Uganda – We help new and upcoming African entrepreneurs interested in using technology to build high growth companies with co-working space, business incubation and technical training programs.
Through our partnerships, we help them raise money for their ventures and access markets. We also work with students, developers, researchers and organizations to build inclusive communities that entrepreneurs can tap into for talent and collaboration.
Our mission is to provide the entrepreneurship, innovation and technology infrastructure that supports African entrepreneurs through the growth of inclusive communities that foster talent and create value where we operate.

Outbox Space / Environment
We’re located in the heart of the Kampala Business district. We’re only a stone’s throw away from Uganda’s Biggest institution of Learning, Makerere University; close to a number of private hospitals that include Case, Victoria Medical Center, Dr. Agarwal to mention but a few.
Within the vicinity is accommodation that includes the Sheraton Kampala, Kampala Serena, Mosa Courts, Metropolitan hotel and Bush pig backpackers. We’re also near one of the largest Banking companies in Africa, and many small, medium and large sized companies.
UpAccelerate
In partnership with UNFPA and the Government of Uganda, we are running multiple innovation challenges that seek to support young people establish social businesses that address challenges in sexual reproductive health by building youth friendly services or products. We provide them with mentorship, seed funding, and training to enable them build out their businesses.
MTN App Challenge
We are leveraging a series of hackathons and incubation to support young entrepreneurs that are using mobile technologies to solve social challenges in Health, Education, Finance, Agriculture and Media & Entertainment.
Outbox EDU
We are implementing a series of 3-month boot camps for individuals with limited or no experience in software development to acquire the skills needed to build their own businesses or succeed in the workplace.
Labs
We design and develop technology solutions that enable organisations accelerate social impact. This includes social businesses or corporate social responsibility initiatives of for-profit businesses.
Women in Technology
Through our community of female champions, we organise talks and trainings geared towards growing and upskilling the number of women and girls in technology.
Pimaa
We are building low cost environment monitoring stations to improve the availability of open data on air quality in African urban centres.
