Save the Children International is currently recruiting for a Health Transition Facility Manager/Medical Doctor for the BPRM Project at our Arua Office.The Health Transition Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring quality in primary health care services provided to refugees and host communities at the health facility and in the catchment communities by providing medical consultations. In addition to patient care, s/he will lead the team, supervising medical staff under him/her, conduct on-the-job trainings, maintain accurate patient and SC records and provides input to SC reports and participate in the smooth functioning of the clinic. The role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:

  • MBChB degree from a recognized institution, Registered with relevant professional authority and a valid practicing license
  • 3 years’ experience in Clinical practice.
  • Previous experience of NGO work in public health humanitarian settings.
  • Management experience supervising medical teams
  • Experience in maternal, neonatal and child health care in emergencies including reproductive health and adolescent care.
  • Experience in conducting rapid needs assessments and responding to an emergency.
  • Demonstrated skills in program planning, and all aspects of project management.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership and supervision of staff and in building and maintaining a high performing team.
  • Experience in promoting children’s rights and gender, including participation in programming, design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
  • Inter-personal skills to influence and guide staff and partners in identifying programming opportunities and resolving program challenges.
