Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following programmes offered by MUST beginning September.

The date for pre-entry examinations has been changed from an earlier date June to July.

Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be invited for the pre-entry exams. Shortlisted candidates will be communicated to and a list published in July.

BACHELOR OF MEDICINE AND BACHELOR OF SURGERY (Duration 5 years)·      Be a holder of a Diploma in any Bio-medical Science.·      Be registered by the Allied Health Professionals Council or the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council·      Preference will be given to those with experience working in primary health care in a rural setting·      The candidates who meet the above criteria will be required to sit for an entrance examination in General Paper, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Physiology in July.
BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (Duration 4 years)·      Be a holder of a Diploma in Pharmacy.·      Should have passed Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at O’ Level with at least a credit.·      Sit and pass an entrance examination consisting of three written papers in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Natural products, Introduction to Dispensing and Physiology in July.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (Duration 3 years)·      Be a holder of a Diploma in Pharmacy or a Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.·      Should have passed Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at O’ Level with at least a credit.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHYSIOTHERAPY (Duration 2 Years)·      Be a holder of a Diploma in Physiotherapy
BACHELOR OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE (Duration 2 years)·      Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.·      Registered with Allied Health Professionals’ Council·      Submit two reference reports one from current employer(s) and the other from the institution where the Diploma training was done.·      Sit and pass an entrance examination consisting of three written papers in Clinical Chemistry, Haematology & Blood Transfusion, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Parasitology & Medical Entomology in July.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate Degree Programmes

  1. Hold the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)/O’ Level or its equivalent with a minimum of a pass in at least 5 subjects obtained at the same sitting.
  2. Hold the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)/A’ Level with at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent obtained at the same sitting for applicants to a degree programme.
  • Diploma holders should have at least a credit from an accredited institution.
  1. An accredited Higher Education Access Certificate with at least a CREDIT

Undergraduate Diploma programmes.

  1. In addition to (i) under the direct entry, applicants must hold the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)/A’ Level with at least 1 principal pass and two subsidiary passes or its equivalent obtained at the same sitting.
  2. An accredited Higher Education Access Certificate with at least a PASS.

Graduate Programmes.

  • In addition to (i) & (ii) under the direct entry, applicants should have an honours degree from an accredited degree awarding institution.

Specific Admission Requirements

In addition to the minimum entry requirements, there are specific requirements for each of the programmes which candidates must fulfil before admission is given. The details of which are captured under every program at the Postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Applicants should note that;

  1. All academic documents presented must be from accredited institutions
  2. CASES OF IMPERSONATION, FALSIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS OR GIVING FALSE/INCOMPLETE INFORMATION WHENEVER DISCOVERED WILL LEAD TO AUTOMATIC CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION.
  • Completed Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic documents

  2. Applicants whose first language is not English or who did not go through an education system with English as a medium of instruction will be required to provide evidence from a recognized English language training institution that they have sufficient command of the English language to cope with the programmes.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

All applications MUST be submitted online through https://applications.must.ac.ug

ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Go to https://applications.must.ac.ug
  2. If you don’t have an Access Code, click “Click here to get an Access Code”, fill in the form and submit. An Access Code will then be sent to your email and phone number. If you already have an Access Code, proceed to step 3.
  3. Enter your email address and Access Code that has been sent to your phone number to log in
  4. Select the application category i.e. Direct Entry and click “Apply Now”
  5. Fill in the application form and submit
  6. Click “Pay for Form” to generate a payment reference number to be used for paying application fees in the bank
  7. If you’re a degree or diploma holder, Click “Print Form” and attach the printed form to the hard copies of certified academic and other supporting documents and mail the hard copies to the University or submit it to any of the liaison offices
  8. Go to the bank and pay the application fees using the payment reference number generated in “Step 6”.
